Tag 4-5:  Rickety Bridge, Franschhoek (2 Nächte)

Auf geht es in die weitläufigen Weingebiete vor Kapstadt, in den Wein & Gourmet- Ort Franschhoek. Das kleine Dorf bietet exzellente Weine in traumhafter Kulisse der Drakenstein-Berge. Der Ort wurde einst von den Huguenotten gegründet – das französische Flair lässt sich überall noch finden. Wer sich für die Geschichte Franschhoeks interessiert, kann das Huguenot Denkmal und Museum besuchen und hier viel über die französischen Einwanderer erfahren. Diese mischten sich schnell mit den ansiedelnden Kapholländern und sprachen Afrikaans. Heute spricht hier keiner mehr Französisch. Damit Sie mit gutem Gewissen die vielen vorzüglichen Weine probieren können, haben wir Ihnen ein Ticket mit der Weintram inkludiert. Diese Hop on Hop off Tour bringt Sie von Weingut zu Weingut.  Genießen Sie atemberaubende Landschaften, Wein und vorzügliches Essen. Die kommenden zwei Nächte verbingen Sie im Übrigen ebenfalls auf einem Weingut. Auch im Rickety Bridge können Sie an einer Weinverkostung teilnehmen. Ebenso gibt es die Möglichkeit sich einen eigenen Wein zu kreieren (Wineblending). Tag 8-9:  Head over Hills, Knysna (2 Nächte)

Heute nehmen Sie ein etwas längere Fahrtstrecke auf und erreichen die weltbekannte Garden Route. Die Garden Route in Südafrika erwartet Sie mit vielen Highlights. Sie beginnt in Mossel Bay im Westkap und führt entlang der Nationalstraße N2 und dem Indischen Ozean bis nach Port Elizabeth im Ostkap. Auf dem Weg fahren Sie durch das kleine Örtchen Wilderness. Hier lohnt sich ein kleiner Abstecher zu dem Aussichtspunkt Map of Africa. Ihre erste Station für Übernachtungen auf der Garden Route ist die Lagunenstadt Knysna. Auch hier gibt es einen super lohnenswerten Aussichtspunkt, die Knysna Heads. In Knysna gibt es zudem eine kleine Hafenpromenade in ziemlich entspannter Atmosphäre. Hier kann noch ein paar Souvenirs shoppen, einfach ein wenig flanieren, lecker Essen gehen oder sich auch einen Bootsausflug auf die Lagune buchen. Natürlich erwartet Sie Knysna auch mit tollen Stränden.

Tag 10-11: Lily Pond, Natures Valley  (2 Nächte)

Weiterfahrt in das Nature Valley, welches perfekt gelegen ist um von hier die Garden Route in alle Richtungen zu erkunden. Von hier aus ist es ein Katzensprung in das beschauliche Strandparadies Plettenberg Bay und zum Tsitsikamma Nationalpark. Die Gegend ist ein Mekka für alle Outdoor- und Abenteuerliebhaber! Der Tsitsikamma Nationalpark ist traumhaft zum Wandern. Hier müssen Sie unbedingt zu der Brücke über dem Storms River Mouth laufen! Eine Aussicht, die sich wahrlich lohnt. Die Storms River Mouth lässt sich weiterhin auf einer Kajak und Lilo Tour erkunden. Im nahegelenen Storms River Village können Sie eine Treetop Canopy oder Segway Tour mitmachen. Es werden zudem Mountainbike Touren und auch Ausritte durch die Wälder angeboten. Ein bisschen weniger touristisch ist das an der Unterkunft angrenzende Natures Valley. Den kurzen Abstecher zum Traumstrand sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen!

Tag 12-13: Kariega Ukhozi Lodge, Kariega Game Reserve (2 Nächte)

Auf der perfekten Hochzeitsreise darf eine Safari natürlich nicht fehlen! Die nächste Etappe Ihrer Reise führt Sie in das Kariega Game Reserve. Das Reserve ist unser Favorit unter den privaten Game Reservaten im Ostkap. Das 10.000 ha große landschaftlich anschauliche und malariafreie Reservat verspricht erstklassige Safarisichtungen. Zwar gibt es hier alle Tiere der Big 5, jedoch darf man sich keine Hoffnung auf Sichtung eines Leoparden machen. Gute Chancen hat man aber die restlichen vier zu sehen: Elefanten, Löwen, Büffel und Nashörner. Weiterhin kann man Hippos, Giraffen, Zebras und noch vieles mehr hier bestaunen. Die Ukhozi Lodge bietet kleine Chalets mit eigenem Pool. Hier hat man fast das Gefühl, das Reserve für sich zu haben. Man genießt hier einen absolut spektakulären Blick auf das Tal.  Wer sich vor oder nach den Safaris entspannen möchte, kann sich zudem auch an den großen Pool nahe der Rezeption legen oder eine Kosmetikbehandlung buchen.

Tag 14:  Oyster Beach Box, Kenton on Sea (1 Nacht)

Vor der langen Rückreise geht es nochmal eine Nacht an den Strand. Das Oyster Box Beach House befindet sich im ruhigen Küstendorf Kenton-on-Sea und bietet einen uneingeschränkten Blick auf den Bushman’s River, die Flussmündung und die 6 km lange Küste bis hinunter zum Dias Cross Afrika. Hier können Sie einfach nochmal die Seele baumeln lassen. Genießen Sie eine Spaziergang am Strand oder wenn noch immer Drang für Aktivität beherscht, machen Sie einen Strandausritt oder Kanuausflug. Den letzten Abend sollten Sie unbedingt mit einem Sundowner Getränk am Deck des Oyster Box Beach Houses genießen! Der Ausblick ist herrlich!
