The Meet & Greet helps you with getting a sim card for your smartphone. Furthermore, she assists with the collection of the rental car. Then you drive to the nearby Melrose Guesthouse. This beautiful green hotel complex invites you to linger. If you like, you can end the day relaxing by the pool. If you still have the energy and strength, take a bike township tour in Soweto! There is a variety of great restaurants here.
Day 2: Blyde River Canyon Lodge (1 night)
After a hearty breakfast, you start to the Blyde River Canyon Lodge, a small green oasis where you can see the zebras grazing right in front of you. The accommodation is located in a prime location to discover the well-known and scenic Panorama route. If you leave early today, you can still visit one or the other attraction in the afternoon.
Day 3– 5: Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge, Klaserie Private Game Reservat (3 nights)
Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge promises safari romance. The small accommodation with only five Rondavels lies in the middle of the Klaserie Private Game Reserve. Experience the tranquility of the African bush and enjoy the special moments of game viewing from the deck, lounge area, or pool overlooking the Klaserie River and surrounding wilderness. The property also offers spa treatments in your room (subject to availability, reservation required). In addition to game drives, they offer game walks. A privately organized bush dinner or bush breakfast adds another special touch to their stay.
After a few spectacular nights in the middle of the African bush, we continue south to Hazyview. You may take a path through the Kruger, or you can still enjoy a few viewpoints of the Panorama Route if you have not yet done all of them or have not had enough.
Day 8 -9: Wide Horizons, Swaziland (2 nights)
Today the journey continues to the Kingdom of Eswatini. Here you will stay at Wide Horizons Mountain Retreat, a hidden gem. A unique paradise on the slopes of Makhungutsha Mountain, in a quiet environment with breathtaking views. You can explore 200 hectares of nature reserve here! Vibrant, colorful, expansive gardens neatly framed against a mountain backdrop with panoramic views. A few hiking trails allow you to meander between Impala, Zebra, Nyala, Wildebeest, and many other animal species. Discover native forests full of birdsong, cascading streams, dams for fishing, a natural rock swimming pool, a sculpture trail, sundowner walks, game walks, cultural visits, a tennis court, and much more. Absorb this out-of-Africa experience as you watch the sunset over the mountains.
It is now time for the relaxing part of the journey. It is a relatively long way that leads you to a secluded barefoot paradise. Leave early in the morning and be aware that the last bit is not accessible with a regular vehicle. For the last stretch, park your car at a meeting point (secure parking) and take a one-hour 4×4 transfer to Thonga Beach Lodge. This accommodation welcomes you in a secluded bay on the northern coast of Kwazulu Natal in the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park. The lodge has a magnificent view of the beach. Between November and February, turtles lay their eggs here – a unique experience to watch!

Today you drive on to the Dolphin Coast, where you can relax for two days at the Indian Ocean before departure. Enjoy the sea view from your room.
